Cinematrix
Browse movies and TV shows with data from TMDb, including search, pagination and individual title pages.

What it does
A multi-page vanilla JavaScript project. The browser calls a same-origin TMDb proxy for movie data, then renders lists, sliders and detail views.
Decisions
- Keep TMDb credentials on the server
- A same-origin Vercel function validates requested TMDb routes and attaches the API key from the server environment; clients never receive the key.
- Keep search state in the URL
- The search page reads the media type and query from URL parameters, then requests matching TMDb results.
- Handle search pages explicitly
- Previous and Next buttons update the page number and refetch results; the UI disables unavailable directions.
- Use Swiper for Now Playing
- The homepage creates slides from proxied TMDb responses and passes them to Swiper instead of implementing drag gestures by hand.
